1. What We Are

Debt Help USA is a consumer-facing brand and doing-business-as (DBA) name of Stonegate Consulting LLC, a limited liability company formed in the State of Wyoming and registered as a foreign LLC in the State of Florida, operating from West Palm Beach, FLorida.

We are a consumer advisory and referral firm. Our role is to:

• Educate consumers about the available legal and financial options for addressing unsecured consumer debt
• Document consumers' situations through intake conversations
• Connect consumers, when appropriate and at their request, with licensed third-party providers who handle the actual services

2. What We Are Not

Debt Help USA is also NOT:

• A debt settlement company
• A debt negotiation company
• A debt management plan administrator
• A non-profit credit counseling agency
• A debt consolidation lender
• A credit repair organization
• A government agency or affiliated with any government program
• A bankruptcy filing service

3. What We Do

Our specific role is limited to: providing consumer education about debt relief options under federal law (including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Telemarketing Sales Rule, and other applicable statutes); conducting intake conversations to understand a consumer's situation; explaining how different relief paths work, their costs, their risks, and who they tend to be appropriate for; referring consumers, with their consent, to licensed third-party providers in our network; and providing general ongoing process guidance to consumers who have engaged with providers we have referred them to.

4. What We Do Not Do

We expressly do not: provide legal advice or representation of any kind; provide financial planning, tax, or investment advice; negotiate, settle, manage, or consolidate consumer debts; send debt validation letters or any other legal correspondence on behalf of consumers; communicate with creditors or debt collectors on behalf of consumers; file bankruptcy petitions or any other court filings; guarantee any specific outcome, settlement amount, fee reduction, or result; promise that any particular debt will be eliminated, reduced, or invalidated; stop collection calls, lawsuits, wage garnishments, or other creditor actions ourselves.

5. No Guarantee of Results

Results vary significantly based on individual circumstances. Factors that affect outcomes in any debt relief program include but are not limited to: total debt amount, types of debt, creditors involved, age of the debts, documentation available, your state of residence, your income, your other financial obligations, your ability to make required payments, and many other variables.

Past results achieved by providers in our referral network do not guarantee future results for any specific consumer. We do not make any guarantee, warranty, or promise regarding the outcome of any debt relief option.

6. Risks of Debt Relief Programs

All debt relief approaches carry risks that consumers should understand before enrolling:

• Damage to credit score: Programs that involve stopping payments to creditors will typically damage your credit score, sometimes significantly.
• Lawsuits and judgments: Creditors and debt collectors may file lawsuits during any debt relief process. Adverse judgments may result in wage garnishment, bank account levies, or property liens.
• Tax consequences: Debt that is forgiven, settled for less than full balance, or discharged through bankruptcy may be treated as taxable income by the IRS.
• Continued collection activity: Even during a debt relief program, collectors may continue contacting you, escalating collection efforts, or taking legal action.
• Failed programs: Programs that do not succeed may leave consumers in a worse financial position than they were before enrolling.
• Legal exposure: Some debt relief approaches involve legal proceedings or require legal responses.

7. Referrals to Third-Party Providers

When we refer consumers to licensed third-party providers, the consumer must sign their engagement directly with that provider. We are not a party to the consumer's engagement with the provider. We do not control the provider's services, fees, performance, or outcomes. The provider is solely responsible for the services they deliver.

We receive compensation from providers when consumers we have referred engage with them. This compensation does not increase the cost to the consumer.

8. Information for Educational Purposes

All information on this website is for educational purposes only. None of it constitutes legal, financial, tax, or accounting advice. Consumers should consult appropriate licensed professionals for advice specific to their situation.

9. Alternative Options Available

Federal regulators including the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) note that consumers can often take some debt-related actions themselves at no cost, including contacting creditors directly to request hardship programs, sending debt validation requests to third-party collectors within 30 days of first contact, disputing inaccurate information on credit reports, and seeking free counseling from non-profit credit counseling agencies.
